How We Fix Pond Leaks, Green Pond Water & More

Finding a leak in a pond can be a daunting task for someone without a great deal of experience. We use a consistent troubleshooting methodology to narrow down the source of your leak as quickly as possible.

We start with the most likely suspects: leaky plumbing connections, skimmer and filter leaks and improperly designed waterfalls. If we don’t find the leaks in these areas, and we’ve ruled out everything else, you might have a hole in your liner.

Rather than wasting your valuable time and money searching for the proverbial needle in a haystack, we will replace the liner if this is the case. Years of experience have shown that replacing the liner is less expensive and time-consuming than trying to find a hole – which can take days or weeks. A liner replacement is a relatively simple operation that can usually be accomplished in a single day.

If you can’t see a dime placed at the bottom of your pond, there’s a good chance some part of your pond ecosystem isn’t working properly. Green water means you don’t have enough beneficial bacteria in the pond to consume excess nitrites; cloudy water could mean you have inadequate filtration; brown water might be the result of material from the surrounding landscape falling into the pond.

We can fix all these issues – usually pretty simply. Fill out our Maintenance Request Form, and we’ll help you find the best solution for your situation.

There are many types of pond filtration systems and pumps, and we’ve worked with just about all of them. If you need pond filter repair or pond pump repair, we can help – whether that means fixing the existing equipment or helping you find the perfect replacement.
